If you thrive in a collaborative, innovative, and fast-paced environment, this full-time Senior Scientist role in Production Chemistry is an excellent fit for you. You will play a vital role in the synthesis and analysis of compounds, process optimization, and ensuring high-quality production. Your efforts will have a direct impact on the development of Mirus Bio's offerings and will support various departments within the organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide technical expertise to the Production Chemistry Team.
- Execute synthesis and analysis of compounds for Mirus Bio products utilizing advanced methodologies.
- Demonstrate leadership by identifying opportunities for improvement and effectively solving problems.
- Manage multiple projects concurrently and adapt to shifting priorities.
- Maintain inventory levels and assist with material procurement.
- Document all procedures meticulously and update protocols as required.
- Review external batch records and draft deviations as necessary.
- Engage in continuous improvement initiatives and root cause analysis.
- Communicate effectively across teams while upholding quality standards.
- Comply with cGMP guidelines and foster a culture of compliance.
- Establish strong relationships both internally and externally.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Education: Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Chemistry or a related discipline.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in synthesizing and characterizing organic or polymer compounds.
Skills: Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork abilities.
Technical: Proficiency in analytical techniques such as NMR, HPLC, GPC, etc.
Environment: Experience in a life sciences company and familiarity with cGMP preferred.
Travel: Occasional travel may be required.
