About The Role:

The Software Engineer II (Full Stack) position plays a crucial part in advancing and perfecting software functionalities or products. This pivotal role involves designing, constructing, maintaining, and enhancing software products and services covering both frontend and backend aspects, particularly crafting interactive applications utilizing diverse UI technologies and tools. Tasks include sophisticated coding, testing, and debugging, as well as addressing intricate bugs, improving performance, and updating software. This role is stationed at our Seattle, WA headquarters on a full-time basis.

What You Will Do:

  • Devise and introduce stable and high-performing SaaS products using both frontend and backend technologies like C#, Java, and more.
  • Take ownership of a complex array of internal/external services and datasets.
  • Carry out the complete SDLC (design, build, document, test, and deploy) for APIs, UIs, applications, and infrastructure essential to scale our products and platform.
  • Tackle latency and throughput obstacles in data processing and request handling.
  • Create high-volume enterprise-scale data service applications handling billions of data points weekly.
  • Construct and oversee a large-scale distributed system platform and services constructed using Big Data technologies.
  • Evaluate existing software to pinpoint enhancement opportunities including addressing latency and throughput challenges in data processing and request handling.
  • Establish efficient operational procedures encompassing continuous deployment pipelines (CI/CD), automated testing, and proper monitoring and alerts.
  • Engage in design dialogues, team planning, and code reviews. Offer perceptive and constructive feedback for team and individual enhancement.
  • Troubleshoot software malfunctions by examining code errors, log files, metrics, utilizing debug functions, and other standard troubleshooting methods.
  • Provide guidance to junior engineers on software development and operational excellence.
Who We Are Looking For:
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • Possess over 3 years of professional development experience in modern programming languages like C#, Java, and Python with a strong command of JavaScript and Typescript.
  • Have 2+ years of professional development experience in constructing REST/GraphQL APIs with a strong expertise in React.
  • Familiarity with LLMs and other machine learning models.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services such as S3, SQS, CloudFront, SNS, ECS, among others.
  • Proficiency in Database technologies like Mongo, Dynamo, MySQL, Postgres, RDS.
  • Experience with Elasticsearch/OpenSearch.
  • Utilize state management libraries such as Redux, Zustand, Redux Toolkit.
  • Understanding of a wide array of design methodologies and their appropriate application.
  • Comprehension of diverse data structures and algorithms along with knowing when to employ them or not.
  • Familiarity with the maintenance attributes, runtime properties, and dependencies of software (e.g., build dependencies). Skills in efficient utilization of compute resources: hardware, database, memory/CPU, etc.
  • Ability to extensively test functionality in complex software systems.
  • Experience operating within Agile methodologies.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and excellent problem-solving skills with a penchant for acquiring knowledge of new tools and technologies.
  • Proficient in writing SQL and practical experience working with extensive datasets containing billions of records.

  • Hold a Master's degree in Computer Science or a relevant technical field.
  • Experience in a startup, retail, digital advertising, or e-commerce setting.
  • Experience in developing intricate applications on distributed systems that have successfully served a large customer base.
  • Proficiency in Big Data technologies (streaming and batch processing).
  • Familiarity with LLMs and other machine learning models.
  • Extensive background in end-to-end software development.
  • Track record of delivering top-notch production systems/services.
  • Skills in designing with a focus on scalability and sustainability.

While actual salaries form just one facet of the compensation package and may vary above or below the range based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, location, and performance. The compensation bracket for this role situated in Seattle ranges from $150,000 to $170,000 per annum.
