This position will work with the BioMADE technical program team and be responsible for a full spectrum of activities associated with Program Management, ranging from conception of program calls to management of a portfolio of BioMADE projects. These positions will be responsible for reviewing and shepherding responses to project calls, and for justifying projects selected for funding. All Program Managers will work closely with the internal BioMADE team, U.S. Government leadership, and BioMADE members.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Manage a portfolio of BioMADE projects selected to advance bio-industrial manufacturing. Monitor technical progress, deliverables and milestones, and project related financial and intellectual property reporting. Utilize subject-matter expertise to guide and support project teams on proposal submission quality and compliance with BioMADE procedural requirements. Integrate elements of the BioMADE Technology Roadmap into project calls. Conduct regular status meetings with project teams. Review and approve quarterly technical reports to ensure risks to the project are mitigated and projects are progressing. Reporting and presentation of project status and technical achievements to internal stakeholders and to the broader bio-industrial manufacturing community. Review and approve final technical reports and post-award impact reports to identify project achievements to be shared publicly. Collaborate with the BioMADE Communications Team on publications, presentations, inventions, and other forms of intellectual property resulting from projects that are being appropriately shared with BioMADE membership and external stakeholders, in accordance with BioMADE confidentiality provisions. Communicate project status updates, in coordination with the BioMADE Leadership Team (specifically the Chief Technology Officer and Workforce Development Team), to ensure the successful execution of the projects. Contribute to preparation of the BioMADE annual plan, which details the technical projects, including milestones and deliverables, undertaken by BioMADE members on an annual basis. Prepare reports and associated documents for BioMADE leadership, committees, and DoD, to communicate the status of the projects. Conduct site visits to meet with the members working on their projects. Other duties as assigned. Summary
