Job Description

As an Estimation Governance Manager - Controls Management Vice President in the Estimation Controls Team, you will support the consumer-facing businesses within Consumer & Community Banking (CCB) and Asset Wealth Management (AWM), serving across Estimation Development and Estimation Controls and partnering with Controls, Data & Analytics, Quantitative Analytics and 1 st line of defense communities to execute Controls Strategic Initiatives and improve the effectiveness of the Firm's processes. In this role, you will leverage data wrangling, data analytics and reporting skills to provide analytical and program management support with key controls across models, artificial intelligence and machine learning, and analytical tools. You will also utilize analytic skills, methods and thinking to solve problems, create data that tells a story, provide feedback, and deliver objective insights, translate between analytic and non-analytic groups as well as facilitate holistic, cross functional learning. Additionally, you will work with and synthesize large amounts of data into actionable analysis and provide a point of view to the Control Management partners that helps them evaluate the effectiveness of the Firm's control framework.
For this role, candidates must be able to physically work in either our Columbus, OH, Wilmington, DE, Plano, TX or New York, NY offices 3 days a week and remotely from home 2 days per week. The specific schedule will be determined and communicated by direct management.
Job Responsibilities

  • Mine and analyze data to package key Estimation responsibilities supporting Control and Operational Risk Evaluation (CORE) Triggers and Metrics
  • Evaluate key Estimation Controls and business owned governance processes for automation opportunities
  • Partner across Business, Controls, Audit and Model Risk Governance to effectively prioritize, influence and impact outcomes
  • Own and manage projects from front to end, engaging with the requestor, business, and developer
  • Communicate with key stakeholders, manage delivery expectations, and escalate when needed

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher
  • 7+ years of related experience within Controls, Marketing, Finance, or Risk Management; experience evaluating Controls, complex business problems, data analysis or Program Management
  • Working knowledge of the Controls operational system of record and understanding of Estimations
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Suite
  • Data Wrangling skills and working knowledge and experience working with relational databases
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills; Comfort with ambiguity and proven ability to structure problems and develop analytical frameworks
  • Intellectual curiosity to go deep to understand details and passion for data analysis, continuous learning, and professional development
  • A positive attitude and team spirit with exceptional interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Ability to influence people at all levels across a broad variety of job functions
  • Able to build a cohesive team through strong communication, team involvement and strong leadership
  • Flexibility / adaptability - ability to change direction based upon team and stakeholder consensus
