Assistant Program Configuration Manager

Location: Philadelphia, PA

We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Program Configuration Manager to provide on-site support and oversight for modernization initiatives related to U.S. Navy surface vessels at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia, Code 226. The ideal candidate will assist the Program Manager in ensuring effective waterfront support on a daily basis while managing the comprehensive schedule for various project activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Program Manager in daily operations
  • Assist with contract and subcontract oversight
  • Contribute to program budget management, including planning and executing funds for ship modernization
  • Help coordinate multiple ship schedules and modernization efforts across various Fleet locations
  • Ensure that sufficient resources are allocated for modernization planning to guarantee timely project initiation and completion
  • Assist in estimating costs associated with modernization tasks for labor and materials
  • Collect and report on the progress of modernization activities, providing updates to the government client at NSWC Philadelphia

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in the operation, maintenance, and testing of U.S. Navy machinery control systems, with a background as a Program Manager encompassing contract management, budgeting, scheduling, planning, estimating, and progress tracking.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business from an accredited institution.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with a Secret Security Clearance.
