Senior Product Manager

You must be business-minded and tech-savvy, have a knack for market and customer insights, be obsessive and curious, be super smart, be detail-oriented but able to paint the larger vision, and have a passion for changing an industry. You must also have executive presence as this is a highly visible role within the company, the leadership team, and potentially the industry.

As both a technologist and business person you will also be responsible for looking both internally and externally, driving the big picture and focusing on the important details.

You must be able to speak many "languages." You will work with global Innovation teams, Research, Data Science, Engineering, Marketing, Communications, Product teams, Design, and our Senior Leadership Team.

The Senior Product Manager will be part of a small, but growing group that is charged with:

  • Crafting and articulating the company's technology strategy and technology roadmap.
  • Defining some of the most strategic and foundational products and technology components.
  • Ensuring that we are pushing thought leadership and driving the technology agenda both internally and externally.
  • Product managing internally disruptive technology initiatives.
  • Collaborating very closely with the Product teams throughout the business groups.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Define the long-term vision and plan for a new product.
  • Manage the alignment and balance between the near-term product roadmap as driven by the Platform team and the long-term (3+ year) vision as owned and defined by this role.
  • Identify and prioritize target vertical markets to support; lead the development and validation of business models for the prioritized markets.
  • Develop, manage, and socialize the product roadmap.
  • Work closely with the Platform Team to ensure that current product development efforts are aligned with and directed towards the longer-term vision of the new product.
  • Drive the development of prototypes with CTO engineering resources and potential 3rd party partners.
  • Plan and execute technology transfer to Engineering teams for production development.
Qualifications
  • Communication: Excellent communicator with outstanding verbal, written, and visual skills; able to influence all layers of the organization.
  • Able to craft and articulate a vision and build consensus around it.
  • Record of success: Demonstrable track record of successful software, SaaS, web, and mobile products. Experience with databases, big data, or developer communities is a definite plus.
  • Team Player: Excellent team builder and team player; attracts and inspires talent; promotes a culture of positive, energetic, and high-performing teams.
  • Data Analysis: Able to use data to assess and independently establish targets and direction in matters of high complexity for team or functional group.
  • Financial Modeling: Able to independently develop and apply financial modeling to highly complex situations to forecast and set strategy for team or functional group.
  • Understands Business Drivers, Context, and Key Issues: Has a deep holistic understanding of business drivers, sees actions within the context of Business Unit or Enterprise. Able to execute strategy with minimal direction.
  • Education and Experience: 10+ years of experience in technology product development and product management. Technical degree(s) preferred.
  • Willing to travel: Occasional domestic and international travel required.
