Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Spearhead the development and implementation of cutting-edge AI technologies for feed and shopping recommendation systems.
  • Team Management: Lead and mentor a talented team of AI engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Hands-On Expertise: Balance strategic oversight with hands-on involvement in end-to-end AI model development and experimentation.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with product, engineering, and other teams to integrate AI solutions seamlessly into our platform.
  • Innovation Driver: Stay ahead of industry trends, identifying and implementing new AI techniques and technologies to maintain our competitive edge.
  • Impact Assessment: Measure and optimize AI-driven metrics related to consumer engagement, conversion rates, and revenue generation.

Requirements:

  • Expertise: Extensive experience in AI and machine learning, particularly in e-commerce and social networking environments.
  • Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience developing feed recommendation and/or ads ranking algorithms.
  • Technical Experience: ~8+ years of experience from roles such as Senior Machine Learning Engineer, Technical Lead, Senior Staff, and/or Principal Engineer.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven track record of tech-leading high-performing teams and driving impactful AI initiatives.
  • Visionary Thinking: Ability to conceptualize and execute AI strategies that align with business objectives and market dynamics.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Passion: A genuine passion for leveraging AI to enhance user experiences and drive business growth in a dynamic startup environment.

Base salary and total compensation will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. Please note the base salary is just one component of the company's total rewards package for exempt employees. Other rewards may include equity, bonuses, long term incentives, a PTO policy, and other progressive benefits.
