We are looking for a strategically focused Senior Account Executive to join our eCommerce Agency. You should be passionate about making new connections, driving new business and learning tons along the way.

You'll be responsible for overseeing new client relationships from initial contact to finalizing proposals and working with the team to close deals. Additionally, you should understand and evangelize our service offerings, such as eCommerce Site Development, Email Marketing, SEO and Paid Search/Social.

Your deals will come from 3 main channels:

  • Software Partnerships - Working with sales teams for referrals at our partners like Shopify, BigCommerce, Klaviyo and Bloomreach
  • Inbound Leads - Groove has a strong history of content marketing and lead generation that drive consistent inbound demand.
  • The Hit List - A target account list of 400ish strategic brands that the Groove wants to work with that's refreshed on a quarterly basis

Once onboarded, you will build pipeline:

  • Work with software partner sales teams for referral opportunities
  • Nurture and close inbound leads from website
  • Personally conduct outbound campaigns from your target account list
  • Grow our customer base through prospecting and account development
  • Work with the Internal Marketing team to engage targets and prospects
  • Participate in marketing events, trade shows and Groove events
  • Build and maintain sales pipeline with complete information in Groove's CRM

Then work together to pitch and close deals:

  • Conduct discovery calls to understand prospect business and marketing objectives
  • Pitch Groove Commerce's services to new business prospects
  • Work with sales and delivery teams to create proposals and pitch decks
  • Manage the sales cycle, close deals and facilitate hand-off with our internal team
  • Be willing to do "whatever it takes" to be successful with a great attitude

What you need to be successful:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • 3+ years of sales experience with a Digital Marketing or eCommerce Agency
  • Demonstrated success in hitting and exceeding sales quotas
  • Proficient with HubSpot CRM, LinkedIn and other sales technology
  • Self-Starter and creative attitude who embraces daily outbound sales efforts to generate net new business
  • Passionate about 'the hunt' while driving revenue and growthReady to work with a team
  • Ability to travel - both to Baltimore HQ and prospect locations
