Clean the World Global and The WASH Foundation, an evolution of the Clean the World Foundation, is seeking a full-time, energetic, people-centric HR Generalist to oversee all HR-related administrative functions for our global social enterprise.

Clean the World, an affiliate of Clean the World Global, is a global leader in sustainable environmental and social impact solutions, transforming used soap bars and plastic amenities that the hospitality industry would otherwise discard into lifesaving, essential supplies for communities in need across the globe. With every soap and plastic amenity recycled, Clean the World helps reduce the impact of pollution on our planet and improves the lives of women, children, and communities globally by donating new soap bars to global NGOs, such as Clean the World Foundation.

With over 8,000 participants in its Global Hospitality Recycling Program, Clean the World has already diverted over 25 million pounds of waste from landfills and donated over 80 million bars of recycled soap since its inception in 2009.

Key Responsibilities

Full Cycle Recruitment : Manage recruitment at all levels, from executive to hourly positions. Generating official offers, transfer, promotion, demotion letters detailing at will employment conditions of employment to all candidates. Should have knowledge of and demonstrated experience in all levels of social media recruitment strategies. Experience in establishing or overseeing a company internship program is helpful.
Benefit Administration: Working with the current PEO of record, overseeing enrollment of eligible employees. Research, plan, and administer annual open enrollment meetings and enrollments, as well as serving as point of contact for all qualifying event enrollments.
Employee Relations : Conduct investigations into employee complaints and handle all employee relation matters. Consult and advise with management on the appropriate disciplinary action to administer for employees who violate policy and procedures and oversee that appropriate written documentation follows the Company progressive discipline policy. Conduct employee termination meetings after consultation with appropriate leadership.
Payroll Timesheet Reconciliation : Manage semi-monthly payroll for exempt and non-exempt employees. Work in conjunction with accounting to ensure smooth, timely and accurate payroll processing each pay period.
I-9 Administration : Full knowledge and administration of E-Verify.
Employee Engagement and Recognition Programs : Oversee and implement programs to boost employee morale and recognition. Getting necessary budget approval prior to initiating activities. Participate in CARES Ambassador committee meetings for planning and organizing events.
Employee Onboarding and Offboarding : Administer all pre-employment background checks and new employee orientation, including policy and procedure adherence.
HR Reports and KPI Tracking : Generate HR reports and track key performance indicators for operational excellence.
Performance Reviews : Oversee and administer employee performance reviews by administering performance review cycle annually. Oversee 90-day evaluations to track new employee performance and engagement.
Protected Leave Administration : Oversee all protected leave of absences.
Document Management : Maintain all HR-related employee documents, both paper and electronic.
Workers Compensation Claims : Manage workers compensation claims protocols and act as the point of contact while cases are open.
Incident Reporting : Administer post-accident and reasonable suspicion incident reporting and follow up on investigations in necessary.
Job Descriptions : Update all job descriptions as necessary.
Wage and Hour Compliance : Administer all FLSA, and wage and hour requirement according to appropriate federal, state and local regulations, and other compensation matters.

Qualifications

Experience : Minimum of 3 years of independent full cycle HR Generalist duties.
Certification : Preferred candidates with HRCI or SHRM Certification.
Education : Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university with HR-related studies.
Language Skills : Conversational Spanish is very helpful.
Work Schedule : Must be able to work onsite M-F, 8:30 AM - 5 PM.
Multi-State Experience : Experience in multi-state employment, particularly in Nevada and California, is a plus.
Global HR Experience : Preferred candidates with global HR experience or knowledge—specifically Europe, the UK, Canada, and China.

Skills and Abilities

Project Management : Experience with a project management tool, such as Asana.
PEO Experience : Experience in working with a PEO, such as Oasis/Paychex.
Interpersonal Skills : Demonstrate outstanding judgment, flexibility, empathy, intuition, and have exemplary relationship-building skills. Ability to advocate for all employees while demonstrating a high level of professional interactions and ethical confidentiality is essential.
Influence : Position of influence without direct authority requires excellent communication, both in presentational skills and writing.
Multi -Tasking: Must be interested an able to work in a fast-paced, every evolving professional environment and prioritize a wide range of administrative tasks with ease.
Technical Skills : Intermediate to Advanced experience in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel (a must), SharePoint, and Teams, as well as other platforms.
