Johnson & Johnson is currently seeking am Associate Director, Data Analytics Technical Product Manager to join the Abiomed IT team in Danvers, MA.

Responsibilities:

I. Data Operations
  • Create fundamental data standards around data collection, data storage, data management, data accessibility, and data usability
  • Identify and fill gaps in the data life-cycle procedures by documenting them.
  • Partner with the Abiomed IT Manager Architect on documenting the flow of data across all Abiomed products and platforms
II. Data Quality Management
  • Define standards to ensure that data is accurate, complete, consistent, reliable, relevant, and current.
  • Implement data validation processes in order to guarantee that data is precise and comprehensive, involving verifying errors, inconsistencies, and missing data.
  • Implement data cleansing processes in order to eliminate or rectify inaccurate, incomplete, or duplicated data.
  • Implement monitoring data accuracy processes in order to regularly verify data for errors, inconsistencies, or missing data, and ensure that the organization's data remains reliable for decision-making and optimizing operations.
III. Business Value Through Data Analytics
  • Partner with business stakeholders to identify data needs and drive data-driven decision-making
  • Drive data innovation and analytics initiatives to uncover business insights and opportunities
  • Moderate enterprise data demand by bridging the gap between business and technology.
  • Define the product / platform vision, strategy and OKR's for the applications being delivered, aligning business demand with the product/ platform roadmap
  • Establish technology roadmaps to achieve efficient & effective delivery of business & customer value for assigned product / platform
  • Balance business value with technical feasibility while prioritizing features, optimizing cost, and improving delivery efficiency
  • Help Product Owners prioritize their backlogs, manage product / platform constraints, and resolve cross-team dependencies; manage demand intake as required
  • Work in close partnership with the Product Owner and Engineer roles to manage risk in backlog
  • Define the standards for the product / platform, including overall design and features, development standards, release management processes and schedules, testing / validation, compliance, and master data structures
  • Drive selection of product / platform solution options, work with the Lead Engineer to assess tech elements of the solution prior to user testing and to balance tech debt
IV. Data Governance and Security
  • Implement data governance frameworks and monitoring data quality and integrity
  • Ensure compliance with data regulations and apply when needed data privacy policies.
  • Partner with the ISRM teams to ensure that data across Abiomed is meeting J&J security standards and that sensitive data is protected
Qualifications

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, and business intelligence development with 5+ years in a managerial role
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to articulate complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience of driving data-driven decision-making and business insights.
  • Knowledge of data governance, data management, and data analytics.
  • Knowledge of data security, privacy, and compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Ability to lead a team of IT Data & Analytics Technical Product Owners
  • Experience gathering requirements and translating into a product vision through deep expertise in product development, engineering, and UX
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Azure, SQL, Power BI, Tableau and ETL processes
  • Experience building data access and visualization tools
  • Ability to function as part of a broader organizational team. Big picture orientation with solid attention to detail. Collaboration skills and the ability to build strong relationships with partners. A results and performance driven attitude with solid sense of accountability and drive to get results.
  • Experience with system development lifecycle methodology.
  • Experience leading technical conversations, workshops and workstreams to consensus/conclusions/actions.
  • Proven ability to understand and articulate business requirements, direction, and initiatives, including ability to balance requirements from an enterprise, sector and franchise/region level.
  • Ability to translate business strategy into technology strategy within a complex and matrixed environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to translate and transform complex topics into concise architectural diagrams and presentations.
  • Strong ability to build and manage relationships at various levels, both inside and outside an organization.
  • Experience in the MedTech industry with FDA, ISO, and IEC requirements and guidelines including risk analysis and quality assurance.
  • Knowledge of healthcare processes, data and terminology.
  • Experience working in regulated environment (e.g. GxP, HIPAA, GDPR ...).
Preferred:
  • A Master's degree in Information Technology or a relevant discipline is preferred.
  • Proven work experience in a senior data leadership role.
  • Experience working in a multi-functional or cross-geographic context.
  • Ability to context switch between multiple complex and fast-moving projects while maintaining high quality and rapid delivery.
  • Project and program management experience (e.g. PMP, Agile, Scrum, ...)
  • Data Analytics Certifications (ie. Amazon Web Services (AWS) Data Analytics - Specialty certification, Google Data Analytics Professional Certification, Certified Analytics Professional (CAP), ...)

  • Hybrid with minimum 3 days a week on-site in Danvers, MA office
  • 20% Travel
