Our client, a growing Dallas area law firm, has a great opportunity available for an experienced Real Estate Legal Assistant/Legal Secretary. The Real Estate Legal Assistant will provide comprehensive administrative and legal support to the corporate and real estate team. This role requires a detail-oriented and proactive individual who can manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of litigation processes and procedures. Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review legal documents related to real estate transactions.
  • Conduct title searches and review title reports.
  • Coordinate and schedule real estate closings.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of all transactions.
  • Assist attorneys with drafting and filing legal documents.
  • Communicate with clients, lenders, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Provide administrative support to attorneys as needed.
  • Assist with the preparation of closing statements and other financial documents.
  • Review and analyze real estate contracts and agreements.
  • Coordinate with title companies and other third parties.
  • Assist with resolving any issues or disputes that arise during transactions.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all client information.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in real estate laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of 2 or more years of experience as a legal assistant, supporting real estate attorneys.

Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Table of Contents
  • Table of Authority
  • Redlining/Document Compare
  • Familiarity with legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy
