How is This Role Important to Our Work?

As a Risk Adjustment Analyst, Sr., you will work with internal and external stakeholders to drive provider engagement for Risk Adjustment through a consultative approach. You will develop and expand on existing provider relationships to deliver education, data, and best practices.

This position collaborates closely with internal stakeholders to develop and implement training resources/programs to network providers that support improvements in clinical documentation and diagnostic coding completeness and accuracy. This position will analyze and interpret risk adjustment data to identify trends and opportunities for performance improvement in risk adjustment gap closure.

A Day in the Life:

Develops and implements documentation training programs for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota's Medicare, Medicaid and Commercial division contracted providers.Deliver effective presentations with targeted audiences that include senior leadership resulting in improved completeness and accuracy of clinical documentation and coding.Provides timely feedback to providers regarding clinical documentation and coding opportunities for improvement.Collaborate and coordinate with stakeholders and project teams.Builds relationships, programs, and processes alongside providers that will result in more accurate documentation and coding.Reviews and analyzes risk adjustment data to determine opportunities for gap closure.Creates data visuals that identify coding trends and opportunities.Ability to synthesize coding data and present findings in an organized, professional, meaningful, and actionable format.Responsible for communicating with providers to provide feedback on medical record review findings.Provides education on proper clinical documentation, compliance, and coding guidelines.All other related duties as assigned.Nice to Have: Previous experience in an educational or training role.Experience working with physicians regarding medical documentation and coding practices.Ability to share knowledge in an effective way that enhances learning and application of new skills.Ability to excel in a fast-paced business environment handling multiple priorities. Must be highly effective in both written and oral communication.HEDIS or Stars experience.Requirements and Experiences: 7+ years of related professional experience. All relevant experience including work, education, transferable skills, and military experience will be considered.Advanced experience with ICD-10-CM coding, medical record review and audit, quality assurance of clinical practices and experience with electronic Medical Records.CRC (Certified Risk Coder) in good standing.Advanced collaborative, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to develop and deliver presentations to large groups.Proficient knowledge of the CMS-HCC model and guidelines.Ability to interpret data and summarize the findings.Must be able to interact effectively with individuals at all levels throughout the company and externally with business leads/ providers at the medical group.Detail-oriented. You value quality and accuracy.Strong ability to review risk adjustment key performance data (Prevalence, RAF, recapture, etc.) to assist in development of programs and initiatives for risk accuracy.Tech-savvy and comfortable working in various products/tools and with lots of data - proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Teams and One Drive.Make A Difference
