Senior Cybersecurity Analyst

The primary role of a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst involves strategizing, coordinating, and executing security protocols for information systems to manage access to digital data and avert unauthorized alterations, destruction, or exposure of sensitive information.
A typical Senior Cybersecurity Analyst is tasked with planning, coordinating, and executing protective measures to secure the computer database.Key Responsibilities:
- Identify security vulnerabilities and risks, and formulate mitigation strategies.
- Architect, design, implement, support, and assess security-centric tools and services, including leading project initiatives.
- Develop and interpret security policies and procedures.
- Engage in security compliance initiatives.
- Create and deliver training materials, along with conducting general security awareness and specialized security technology training.
- Evaluate and recommend new and emerging security products and technologies.
Required Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.
- 8-10 years of relevant experience.
- Extensive experience and in-depth technical knowledge in security engineering, system and network security, authentication and security protocols, cryptography, and application security.
- Consistent application of security solutions.
- Experience in infrastructure or application-level vulnerability assessments and audits.
The Senior Cybersecurity Analyst is also responsible for testing and gathering evidence to ensure controls are effectively designed and operational, including the documentation needed to verify compliance with security standards such as HITRUST, SOC 2, HIPAA, and client agreements. Additionally, they will collect metrics to monitor risk and compliance status, assist in vendor and system security risk evaluations, and draft responses to client requests for proposals and assessment inquiries. Collaboration with IT to coordinate audit testing and track remediation efforts is also essential, along with other assigned duties.
Compensation: Hourly W2 pay rate. Genesis10 provides access to additional contract, contract-to-hire, and direct hire positions with various rate ranges.
