The Data Center Security Specialist DCSS is responsible for securing and protecting the Iron Mountain Data Center. The DCSS will implement an effective security strategy and program to mitigate risk, safeguard the organization's human assets, intellectual property, integrity, reputation and physical assets to ensure continuity of operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day management of all physical security systems to include alarm intrusion, access control CCTV, site touring system and keys and cores.
  • Working in close collaboration with local IT and site security team, is responsible for daily operational support of all security applications.
  • Complete timely and accurate reporting of all potential risks or threats to IM assets through chain of command while adhering to his/her Post Orders at all times.
  • Operate physical security operations, access control, CCTV, and other physical security systems for assigned Iron Mountain Data Centers and provide support for the Iron Mountain business unit to ensure safety and security of personnel, clients, visitors, vendors, property, and assets of the company.
  • Train and be knowledgeable on GSS practices and standards as assigned for their post. Conduct tours and investigations as necessary to ensure a secure environment.
  • Conduct incident response and investigations for assigned Data Center locations as requested by the Director of Investigations.
  • Act as GSS liaison on site to assist where needed in coordinating cross-functional efforts with Real Estate and Facilities, Legal, Human Resources, Audit, InfoSec and Operations Management to provide thorough analysis of security risks.

Key Skills, Requirements and Competencies:

  • Must be experienced with computers, able to understand basic computer networking and database concepts
  • Knowledge of automated security intrusion detection, access control, CCTV, lighting and other related systems and equipment, possess an understanding of life safety issues, and have a general understanding of fire suppression systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal, administrative, and communication skills, as well as leadership traits.
  • Ability to learn to collaborate with IT, real estate, procurement, HR, and legal to implement policy
