BAE Systems is looking for experienced software leaders who are passionate about the craft of software engineering, have a desire to mentor our engineers, and can partner with members of our engineering leadership team to attract and retain talented engineers.

The selected individual, will manage a group of 10 to 20 software engineers, providing them with technical mentoring, career guidance and performance feedback. Additionally, we want to grow our team, and the selected individual will be integral in interviewing and hiring new software team members. You will be an active member of the Software Engineering leadership team, shaping the software culture and process while ensuring the staffing and technical needs of the business are met. You will work with our programs using your technical skills and experience to ensure the design, implementation, and sustainment of our software solutions meet and exceed customer expectations. Technical roles include leading architecture and design reviews, product implementation, strategic initiative implementation, bid and proposal development, next generation solution planning and other areas of engagement that align with your skills and career aspirations. Specifically, the area of focus of your group would be related to the software development of products that provide critical test capabilities to ensure that our technical solutions meet the needs of our War Fighters. This position will report to our Software Engineering leadership for the product areas in Wayne/Totowa, NJ as a strategic element of our organization.

Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

Full-Time Salary Range: $ $250400

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
