Job Summary

Vital Tech Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Network Infrastructure Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our computer network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement new network solutions to improve the efficiency of our current network infrastructure
  • Install, configure, and support network equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, and virtual private networks (VPNs)
  • Monitor and analyze network performance to identify issues and improve network efficiency
  • Perform software and hardware installs and upgrades, as well as network equipment updates to the latest firmware releases
  • Investigate and resolve network faults, failures, and issues
  • Provide customer support for troubleshooting and resolution of complex computer and network problems
  • Develop and maintain network system definitions and configurations documentation and network diagrams
  • Document, implement, and maintain processes and procedures for network infrastructure, including administration, usage, disaster recovery, and business continuity
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field
  • 4+ years of progressively more responsible work experience in networks, internet protocols, Microsoft OS, Azure, Azure Active Directory, M365, and other networking products
  • Strong knowledge of networking principles, including understanding of TCP/IP, IP Sub-netting, VLANs, Ethernet, DHCP, DNS, and QoS
  • Experience with Network Administration/Engineering skills and experience in performing Network Configuration Management, Servers Patched updates/Network Updates utilizing PowerShell Scripting
  • Complete understanding of all telecommunication network system functionality, efficiencies, and interfaces
  • Proficient experience installing and supporting servers, switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs, wireless, and load balancing
  • Proficient experience with implementing and supporting VoIP Telephony and FoIP systems
  • Proficient experience with installing, configuring, troubleshooting VMware virtual servers
  • Knowledge of Microsoft technologies, such as SCCM/Intune, GPO, Exchange, SQL Server, IIS, DNS, Active Directory design and implementation
  • Proficient experience managing SQL server databases
  • Experience with SAN and NAS technologies
  • Network backup experience using Veeam or related tools
Preferred Qualifications
  • Cisco CCNA, CCNP, and CCVP certifications
  • MCSE Certification
