We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented HR Assistant to join our Human Resources team in Glendale, CA. The ideal candidate will be bilingual in Spanish and English, with a preference for candidates holding a four-year degree. The HR Assistant will support various HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, and administrative tasks, ensuring the efficient operation of the HR department.

Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Onboarding:
  • Assist in the recruitment process by posting job vacancies, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
  • Conduct initial phone screenings and coordinate interview logistics.
  • Assist with new hire orientation and onboarding processes, ensuring a smooth transition for new employees.
Employee Relations:
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries, providing guidance and support on HR policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the administration of employee benefits, including enrollment, changes, and inquiries.
  • Support the HR team in addressing employee concerns and resolving workplace issues.
Administrative Support:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, both electronic and paper-based.
  • Assist with HR-related documentation, including employment contracts, offer letters, and termination paperwork.
  • Coordinate and schedule HR meetings, training sessions, and events.
Compliance and Reporting:
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation of HR reports and metrics, providing data and insights as needed.
  • Support the HR team in maintaining confidentiality and data protection standards.
General HR Support:
  • Assist with performance management processes, including tracking performance reviews and evaluations.
  • Support HR projects and initiatives, contributing to the continuous improvement of HR practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall HR function.
Qualifications:
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English is required.
  • A four-year degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Prior experience in an HR role or administrative support is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HRIS systems.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Knowledge of HR best practices and employment laws is preferred.
