Healthcare Practice Operations Manager

POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Healthcare Practice Operations Manager is accountable for overseeing all administrative and operational aspects of designated medical practices. This role is essential in ensuring effective operations, managing inventory, supervising personnel, enhancing patient relations, and optimizing patient flow, while also potentially overseeing facility management.
- The Manager will align daily operations with the mission, vision, and policies of Abrazo Medical Group.
- Responsible for the formulation and execution of strategic goals and objectives; innovating and refining office procedures to enhance operational efficiency; and providing actionable insights to address operational challenges. This includes managing daily functions such as staff scheduling, financial reconciliations, charge processing, and maintaining operational integrity.
- Collaborates closely with the Central Billing Office to maximize accounts receivable efficiency, minimize claim denials, ensure timely refunds, and uphold exceptional customer service standards.
- Oversees Human Resources functions including recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance evaluations to maintain optimal staffing levels.
- Reviews and manages the operational budget, ensuring adherence to financial parameters.
- Generates reports and statistical analyses as required by leadership, providing monthly updates with recommendations for addressing any identified issues.
- Assists in strategic planning and resource allocation, collaborating with management to identify new business opportunities, additional revenue streams, and cost mitigation strategies.
- Ensures compliance with regulatory standards from agencies such as OSHA, CLIA, and others as applicable. Drives corporate initiatives and is responsible for ensuring all providers meet Meaningful Use requirements.
REQUIREMENTS:
- A minimum of three years of progressive management experience within a medical practice setting.
- A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
- Strong understanding of healthcare financial management and human resource practices.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and billing systems, including knowledge of ICD-9, ICD-10, and CPT coding.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
- Capability to apply policies and principles to resolve everyday challenges and navigate various situations.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and coordinate tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of Meaningful Use standards.
