Overview and Responsibilities:

Paramount Global is seeking a Manager of Production Operations This person will work other members of the Production Management department to supervise the daily operations of the productions inside the Broadcast Center.

The Broadcast Center is a premiere production facility that is used for a variety of internal Paramount Global productions as well as 3rd party outside business productions.

The Manager, Production Operations serves as the liaison between the production and the facility management to ensure that the client receives the highest level of service to meet their daily needs.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage and coordinate the daily studio operations of various productions
  • Responsible for maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Manage the below-the-line personnel assigned to the production.
  • Work directly with the client (Directors, Producers, Managers, etc.) and other MPO and CBS departments to facilitate below-the-line production planning and execution.
  • Work closely with Scheduling & Planning on the final actualization and billing of work orders in the CBS Internal database, Media Pulse.
  • Troubleshoot issues that occur during production and production adhere to CBA rules for Paramount union employees.
  • Manage and track all below-the-line production costs and billing and work closely with both MPO Finance and Accounting to ensure accurate and timely billing as well as financial reporting for each production.
  • Check-in and coordinate all live remotes including satellite, fiber, zoom, Skype, etc. to ensure that remote guests and talent can hear the control room
  • Ensure that remote guests and talent can hear the control room and that the control can see and hear the remote
  • Ensure that the audio, video, Director and AD know how to see, hear and speak to the remote talent.
  • Troubleshoot any issues with the remote.
Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience working in a Live Control Room environment.
  • 5+ years of experience and knowledge of studio production requirements
  • Knowledge of technical facilities and transmission
Additional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Broadcasting or Management preferred.
  • Computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, especially Excel, and database entry
  • Knowledge and or experience working in a union environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, high-pressure environment
  • Must be flexible and work nights and/or weekends
  • Ability to multitask, problem solve multiple issues at any given time

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies.

Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.

The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.

This position is bonus eligible.
