Job Summary

Rise Baking Company is seeking a highly skilled Production Operations Manager to oversee all phases of production and ensure the highest quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Daily Operations: Oversee the daily production operations of the facility and its components, ensuring maximum efficiency and productivity.
  • Develop and Implement SOPs: Develop, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to support employee and food safety, product quality, asset effectiveness, and workplace organization.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Develop and implement KPIs to track and improve weekly/monthly trends, and provide leadership to production personnel to achieve plant-specific goals and objectives.
  • Lead and Develop Team Members: Drive employee engagement, training, and development to maximize safety, quality, and productivity, and ensure all quality standards, specifications, and policies are met or exceeded.
  • Manage Budget and Compliance: Develop and manage annual production operating budget and standards, and ensure regulatory compliance, including OSHA, EPA, USDA, FDA, FLSA, EEO, OFCCP, and NLRB.
  • Support Food Safety and Quality: Support the food safety program, quality standards, and legality of manufactured products, and perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent manufacturing experience in a food manufacturing environment, with 5+ years of leadership experience in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Skills and Competencies: Experience with food packaging equipment and packaging materials, demonstrated results in the use of continuous improvement tools, proven fiscal responsibility, strong computer skills, and ability to develop and implement training programs and operational procedures.
  • Leadership and Communication: Proven leadership and team-building skills, including the ability to motivate a diverse workforce to achieve desired results, strong verbal and written communication skills, and ability to think critically and solve complex problems.
