ROLE SUMMARY

The Sr. Manager, Specialty Access Solutions, Operations & Execution is responsible for providing operations support to monitor the development, implementation, and execution of Specialty Pharmacy (SP) processes throughout the Specialty Access Solutions COE. This will include analyzing and monitoring key elements of SPP Contract implementation both within the COE and with the SAS NAD Team, this could includeCommercial Engagement Programs, implementation and coordination of SPP onboarding, project management, quarterly business reviews, invoice management, and program auditing. In addition to core responsibilities around SPP program support, the role will lead ad-hoc COE initiatives and provide management of key operations initiatives to support the SAS COE across channel management.This will include providing analysis and insights across the tools from SAS to provide insights on the programs prior to Periodic Business Reviews with the SAS NAD Team, Operations and Execution and SPP Strategy and Patient Engagement team.

Across Channel Management, the Sr. Manager will work with the SAS SPP, Analytics, and SPP Strategy and Patient Engagement teams to improve processes, drive efficiency/consistency, and ensure alignment of initiatives to Pfizer SOPs/Policies. The Sr. Manager will be accountable for leading the SAS COE SPP and HUB audit process conducted with national specialty pharmacies and patient service providers.

The individual requires an attention to detail, an ability to operate in a matrix environment, manage complex projects, and the ability to take charge and lead assigned initiatives.

The position will work closely with SAS National Account Directors, USMA, SPP Strategy and Patient Engagement team, Analytics & Insights, Digital, SAS Patient Services, SPP Operations & Execution, P&A legal, drug safety, drug safety legal, Pfizer Compliance, finance/accounting, and the nation's leading SPP organizations.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

The Sr. Manager, Specialty Access Solutions, Operations & Execution will be a critical team member ensuring efficient operations and execution of assigned initiatives and aligning to Pfizer SAS SOP's and Policies. The individual will primarily be aligned to the Specialty Pharmacy Centers of Excellence but will also be tasked with cross SAS COE compliance and auditing initiatives, such as those within the Patient Support Program (Hub) team.

The position will work with and have exposure across Pfizer's various business units: I&I, Oncology, Rare Disease, and IM.

Responsibilities will include the following, but are not limited to:

  • Manage Pre review process and provided insights to the SAS Team prior to those meetings by analyzing data from team systems.
  • Understand and map key processes to seek efficiency, effectiveness, and replication with the goal of overall Operational Excellence.
  • Assist in the development of processes for appropriate service forecasts to allow for effective budgeting. Develop consistent models and assumptions that are linked to the brand forecast and work to build into CHAMP
  • Support the entry of data into CHAMP and help to lead the CHAMP improvements.
  • Establish and maintain effective coordination among all stakeholders creating a collaborative network with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Recommend new approaches to achieve operational effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Identify and communicate situations, issues, or emerging areas that are potentially in conflict with Pfizer SAS SOPs and policies to the Director, SAS SPP Operations and Execution or to the Sr Director/Team Leader, SAS CoE and/or assigned compliance/legal partner.
  • Maintain appropriate systems, databases, and records as defined within the SAS CoE SOP.
  • Work with and assign appropriate reporting, auditing, and compliance tasks to COE team members.
  • Track and communicate key milestones (expiration dates, due dates, renewals, invoice due dates, accrual, etc.) to the SPP team so that they can appropriately plan.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional colleagues across multiple departments such as, P&A Legal, compliance, Sales, Digital, Trade Relations, Safety, Finance, and Global Logistics and Supply, Manufacturing and Procurement to ensure contracts conform to all internal and external guidelines.
  • Lead key initiatives as assigned by manager that are organization building and transformational to build and establish Centers of Excellence capabilities and effectiveness.
  • Build out and own internal processes including Operational Effectiveness tasks, CHAMP, the SPP/HUB Audit SOP, Audit process, digital tools, and SPP Portal.
  • Be tasked with project management of key initiatives.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

  • Bachelor's degree required with a minimum total of 7 years of combined experience across any mix of the U.S. healthcare market (Segment, Customer/Account, Therapeutic Area, Managed Care, Marketing, Pharmaceutical Marketing, or Healthcare Industry or Customer Experience).
  • Demonstrated project management experience from project initiation to completion.
  • Experienced in developing and managing complex processes/projects.
  • Experienced in launching a new service/initiative/program preferred.
  • Understanding of basic healthcare compliance and legal concepts and the evolving complexity which PFE operates.
  • Prior success delivering results and working in a highly matrix organization and experience with collaborating across multiple stakeholders to drive results.
  • Understanding of the business processes, terminology, and integration with marketing of finance, sales, insights, budget forecasting, business development, new products, and/or other relevant disciplines.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • A high attention to detail with a customer service orientation is highly desired.
  • Vendor management experience.
  • Experienced working in a cross functional, matrix organization required.
  • Experience in executing and managing highly complex programs and projects.
  • Strong project management skills and experience.
  • Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner across all levels of the organization.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to forge ahead on initiatives not done before recognizing there will be obstacles to overcome along the way.

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

The position will require approximately 5% travel to SPPs, conferences, POAs, and other related venues/meetings. This includes overnight travel.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $117,300.00 to $195,500.00.* In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 17.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.   • The annual base salary for this position in Tampa, FL ranges from $105,500.00 to $175,900.00.
