The Senior Data Financial Analyst within Medicare & Retirement will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities intended to deliver enhanced financial and operational performance, as well as delivering analytics to support Program leaders with forecasting, modeling, budgeting and data strategy plans. The successful candidate will collaborate cross-functionally with various business, finance and data analytics teams, have proven financial, budgeting, modeling and data analysis experience, and the ability to manage multiple competing projects at one time.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Track Rewards campaign performance
  • Forecast redemption rates for Rewards
  • Perform analysis of financial performance of Rewards program
  • Lead program budget reviews with program manager and provide recommendations for program improvements
  • Work with data science team to evaluate campaign performance and construct price sensitivity tests
  • Other projects as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of proven financial, budgeting, modeling and data analysis experience
  • 5+ years of business program optimization experience
  • Proven solid analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Proven solid Excel skills (e.g. index match, look up, pivot)
  • Proven good communication and presentation skills
  • Proven interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Proven to be a self-starter
  • Proven analytical / quantitative approach to problem solving

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Accounting experience
  • Incentive or compensation management experience
  • Proven excellent leadership
  • Proven to be resilient to quickly changing priorities as business needs dictate

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $88,000 to $173,200 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
