Job Overview

The Senior Project Accountant is a key member of our controllership team, responsible for recording accurate and timely entries into our general ledger system. This role requires a strong understanding of financial data analysis and reporting, as well as knowledge of payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review reconciliations for all Balance Sheet accounts and material P&L accounts, ensuring all expense recognition policies reflect GAAP and are continually assessed.
  • Process Management: Record general ledger activity, including expenses, payroll, accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and depreciation, and support data collection for monthly financial review meetings.
  • Process Improvements: Support efforts to decrease the number of days to close, implement systems and processes to speed up processing time while maintaining accuracy and integrity of data, and help prepare and maintain SOPs/Policies for every major accounting process.
  • Mergers and Acquisitions: Support management team with system, team, and process integration related to acquisitions, and provide support where needed around acquisitions.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Experience: 3+ years of relevant experience, with CPA candidate preferred.
  • Skills: Advanced experience and knowledge to accomplish more advanced processes and business problems, with upper-level skills and abilities, and beginning to perform more varied and complex problems, processes, analytics.
