Ziegler CAT is in search of a knowledgeable Industrial Parts and Service Sales Specialist to advocate for and market parts and service solutions tailored for aggregate, wood processing, paving, and construction contractors utilizing Caterpillar engines in non-Caterpillar machinery and/or operating Caterpillar prime power generators. The Industrial Parts and Service Sales Specialist will play a crucial role in expanding Ziegler's aftermarket parts and service operations while collaborating closely with sales professionals in the Power Systems and Construction Industry sectors. Ziegler aims to be a comprehensive service provider for its clients, offering a complete range of parts, service, equipment sales, and rental solutions. This position reports directly to the Product Support Sales Manager within the Power Systems division.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work in conjunction with Product Support Sales Representatives in the construction industry to strengthen customer relationships while concentrating on increasing parts and service revenue for contractors using Caterpillar engines in non-Caterpillar equipment and/or operating Caterpillar prime power generators.
- Partner with Ziegler's OEM Sales Engineers to engage with Industrial Engine customers, enhancing support for our distributors and end-user clients through tailored parts programs and service solutions.
- Identify and secure new opportunities in the industrial engine parts and service market.
- Utilize industry expertise to provide technical guidance and effective parts and service programs to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare comprehensive maintenance and repair quotes adhering to Ziegler's best practices. When suitable, develop multi-year Customer Value Agreements (CVA) for presentation and sale to clients.
- Employ Ziegler-approved CRM systems to monitor all customer interactions, including phone communications and in-person meetings. Additionally, utilize CRM to track sales quotes, leads, and opportunities throughout the sales process.
- Create impactful PowerPoint presentations, marketing materials, and sales tools in collaboration with Ziegler's Marketing department to boost customer engagement.
- Establish and nurture strong customer relationships through regular site visits and follow-up communications via phone and email. Collaborate with clients to devise innovative solutions for their parts and service requirements, ensuring equitable invoice resolutions for both Ziegler and the customer.
- Engage with customer industry associations or trade organizations to enhance industry knowledge and customer relations.
- High School Diploma or GED is required; a 2-year or 4-year degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 4 years of technical experience with engines and/or generators is required.
- At least 2 years of sales experience in a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is essential.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary.
- Must be results-driven and a self-starter.
- A clean driving record is required.
- Personal Attributes: Achievement Orientation, Customer Focus, Problem Solving, Planning and Organization, and Teamwork.
Willingness to travel up to 40-50%.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, use hands, talk, and hear.
