Position Overview

The Business and Operations Controls, Associate role will partner closely with leadership across COO, business lines, operations, and finance to enhance the control environment tied to business performance.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the coordination of control related deliverables across the firm
  • Partner with colleagues on control design and implementation to mitigate risks
  • Perform risk assessments to evaluate the overall effectiveness of policies, procedures, processes, and internal controls
  • Support the generation and monitoring of policy and procedures across the firm
  • Collaborate with the business and support functions to provide controls input/expertise for new products and key initiatives
  • Assess control breaks or control gaps and deliver formal review/analysis of the framework, gaps and solutions and provide controls enhancements / recommendations
  • Monitor through completion the various action plans to address process and control gaps
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across business lines, Risk, Legal & Compliance, Technology, Finance and Operations
  • Support ad hoc projects within the Office of the COO, related to new business initiatives, infrastructure/process enhancements and vendor management, etc.

Qualification and Experience

  • Seeking an individual with a minimum of 2 to 5 years of financial services or consulting experience, i.e. finance, controls or operations function
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Experience in partnering with Audit and Compliance functions
  • Strong academic credentials and a demonstrated interest in financial services
  • Possess strong financial acumen and analytical skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Motivated, enthusiastic, hard-working
  • Demonstrated confidence, maturity, and proactive nature
  • Eagerness to learn and take on responsibility
  • Strong project management skills with exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work well independently as well as collaboratively
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word)

The base salary range for this position is listed above. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on personal, team, and Firm performance. Compensation ranges are based on several factors including job function, level, and geographic location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed here.
