HDR is looking for a passionate and hard-working Mining Intern to join our Resources Business Group in Denver, Colorado. This candidate will report to the Rocky Mountain Remediation Lead and will assist the Denver resources teams with various mine planning and compliance tasks. Responsibilities may include:

Involvement in field work in varying capacities including planning, execution, and maintaining sampling and analytical records so that they are accurate, legible and on time. Assisting mine permitting teams with mine permitting including field work, environmental report development, and permit application development. Support the remediation team with various abandoned mine remediation tasks including development of planning documents, presentations, and summaries of the data relating to chemical and geotechnical analyses.Performs other duties as required.

Required Qualifications

Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Environmental Science, Environmental Planning, Mine Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or related program. Attention to detail a mustMust possess strong problem-solving and communication skillsBasic Microsoft Office skillsAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Preferred Qualifications

Prefer 2 years completed toward degree with a minimum of a 3.0 GPA Specialized skills/experience in mine planning, permitting, and compliance.
