About this role

The Senior Analyst, Investor Relations, is accountable for supporting the Investor Relations Strategy and Benchmarking efforts, which includes:

  • Pro-active analysis of sell side models, industry and market trends
  • Development of internal and external messaging materials
  • Support of investor outreach function
Your role will consist of

Here is a snapshot of what your day to day will look like:

  • Pro-active analysis of sell side models, industry and market trends
  • Development of internal and external messaging materials
  • Support of investor outreach function
  • Prepare materials for quarterly earnings and other investor engagement events - including Board materials, press releases, presentations, sell-side analyst engagement, responses to anticipated questions, etc.
  • Conduct ongoing analysis and provide the Investor Relations team and senior management with relevant information:
  • Track analysts' models and consensus estimates
  • Build and maintain IR tools, financial models and industry comparison analysis
  • Report to team on key industry research items and notes
  • Prepare and distribute reports on a periodic and ad hoc basis for senior management:
  • Analyze and report on quarterly shareholder positions and trends
  • Monitor analyst reports and summarize rating changes for senior management
  • Weekly sell-side and stock reports
  • Support high-exposure events such as company-sponsored market days, investor and analyst meetings, marketing road shows, investor conferences and site visits.
  • Support shareholder targeting and enhance overall capabilities of Investor Relations outreach function.
  • Assist with retail shareholder engagement, including responding to inbound requests with guidance from the Group Head of IR
  • Engage with other departments at Newmont to ensure consistent messaging and understanding of relevant topics in the organization.

Your training, skills, and experience checklist

Here is what we would need to see from you

  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting or finance or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in business analysis with a strong background in finance, capital markets.
  • Previous Investor Relations experience strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of finance, capital markets coupled with the ability to articulate concepts to others.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment with a multitude of variant tasks and changing priorities.
  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong technical skills with programs such as Word/Excel, PowerPoint, Bloomberg, Capital IQ and other related programs.
  • Financial modeling experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Procedures (GAAP), as well as SEC rules and regulations.
  • Investment banking sell-side, or buy-side analyst experience preferred
  • Mining, construction, utilities or other heavy industry experience is preferred.
Working conditions and location

The position is in the Denver corporate office.

May require extended and unpredictable hours.
Position may be required to travel to other domestic and international sites.

The salary range offered for this role is USD $90, ,000. The salary range is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate's salary history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about salary history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont. This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company's performance and their own individual performance.
