UGT is looking for an Engineering Technical Specialist for our client based in Richland, Washington.

This is an onsite, 4-day work week role.

In this role, you will oversee, administer, and lead improvements to our client's engineering-wide processes, programs, and administrative systems

Role Responsibilities

Provides programmatic review and input to engineering monthly performance reporting and metric development Serves as the engineering lead for the client's Action Request screening committeeAdministers the Engineering procedures program, ensuring reviews of engineering plans, procedures, standards, guides, and charters are appropriately distributed across the engineering organization for review and approvalServes as document owner and author for selected engineering proceduresAssists procedure owners with requirements managementServes as the Causal Analysis System Manager for the engineering organizationServes as the Liaison for client with the Defense Nuclear Facilities Safety Board (DNFSB) to track and coordinate communications with client leads, DOE, and DNFSB representativesAdministers the engineering assessment program, ensuring assessments and MOPs are scheduled, tracked, and completed on timeSupports the performance of Engineering assessments Serves as backup Engineering member for the Collective Significance Review processServes as the engineering analyst supporting the alignment of the engineering department's requirements with managementManages the implementation of the Configuration Management PlanAssists or leads process improvement efforts related to engineering configuration control and coordinates engineering configuration control issuesPerforms special assignments as identified by Engineering Programs Manager and/or Chief Engineer Basic Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Related Engineering Degree RequiredMinimum 12 years of experience in engineeringFive (5) years of experience working with engineering processes and procedures (nuclear experience preferred)Experience working with engineering assessments and corrective action programsExperience communicating with executive-level and external stakeholdersExperience with IBM Rational DOORS Next Generation (DNG) requirement management softwareFamiliarity with Smart Plant Foundation (SPF) software as well as engineering processes utilized by DOE contractorsExperience with Operations (OE, Shift Manager, Ops Manager)Knowledge of ASME NQA-1 and other codes with regard to engineering change control Additional Information The work shift will be 6 am to 430pm Monday through Thursday.
