About the Sales Development Representative Role

The Sales Development Representative proactively supports the sale of IDT's full portfolio of products, including custom oligonucleotide solutions across key application areas such as qPCR, CRISPR, Functional Genomics, and Synthetic Biology. This role performs the critical function of lead validation and telephone-based lead generation campaigns from Marketing and Support leads. This is a remote position with occasional travel to participate in sales events such as tradeshows, customer field visits, regional and global sales meetings.

The Sales Development Representative can be the starting point in your Sales career in an exciting, high-growth Genomics market, where IDT is a major player & strong presence.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Engage incoming leads generated by Marketing and Customer Service to identify and qualify potential customers; execute against established processes, communication cadences and call scripts.
  • Hone your sales skillset through having impactful conversations with customers to determine their needs and interests.
  • Engage in high-impact continuous process improvement activities such as Workshops and Kaizens.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor's degree with equivalent experience in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genomics or related field required.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Outlook and Teams, required.
  • 1+ years of customer service, tele-marketing or tele-sales in B2B market preferred.
  • Experience and proficiency with popular CRMs (Salesforce) preferred. At IDT we believe in designing a better, more sustainable workforce. The salary range for this role is $24.00-$26.00/hr. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Colorado. This range may be modified in the future.

This role is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
