Teaneck, New Jersey, United States US Oncology Network-wide Career Opportunities Full time
Overview

Join Regional Cancer Care Associates (RCCA) as the Director of State Controller, and become a key player in driving strategic initiatives and shaping the financial and operational success of our organization. As a critical member of the leadership team, you will have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of cancer patients and their families.

In this role, you will oversee the financial operations of RCCA's locations, collaborating closely with our dynamic leadership team to develop and implement innovative financial strategies. You will analyze financial data, providing valuable insights and recommendations to improve our financial performance. With your expertise, you will manage the general ledger and related systems for the entire Income Statement and Balance Sheet, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

But that's not all. As the State Controller, you will also take center stage, reporting monthly results to key stakeholders and presenting financials at physician meetings, board meetings, and finance committee meetings. Your ability to develop robust reporting packages and investigate financial statement variances will be essential in guiding informed decision-making.

At RCCA, we value continuous improvement and efficiency. You will have the opportunity to recommend and implement improvements across all aspects of accounting and finance operations. While a CPA and/or MBA is preferred, it is not required. Prior practice management and healthcare experience will be highly valuable in understanding the unique challenges of our industry.

Initially, you will work in-person from our Corporate Office in Teaneck for three days per week to build relationships, prioritize objectives, and establish a team culture. As you demonstrate your capabilities and meet team objectives, we will be open to increasing the number of remote workdays.

  • Support department managers, practice administration, and physicians in the preparation, understanding, and use of financial information.
  • Participate in the development of practice objectives.
  • Supervise and mentor the assigned accounting/finance team.
  • Develop systems and monitor compliance with company/practice agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with established accounting and revenue cycle policies/procedures and internal controls.

  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to perform necessary work to achieve results.
  • Continuous improvement mindset.
  • Accounting, finance, analytical, and healthcare acumen.
  • Knowledge of balance sheet reserve measurement and accounting.
  • Proactive, determined, and self-starting attitude.
  • Comfort and capability to work independently.

  • CPA and/or MBA preferred, though not required.
  • Ability to work in-person from the Corporate Office in Teaneck for a total of three days per week initially, with the potential for more remote work once fully onboarded and oriented with the leadership team, software tools, and so forth.
