Our 800+ Martians across North America, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and Asia exist to drive growth for our people, our clients, and our communities all across the globe.We are seeking a VP, Client Leadership, who is responsible for developing Shopper Marketing strategies for assigned brands/retailers and leading growth of assigned businesses. Candidates must reside in a commutable distance to Mars United Commerce's New York City hub location.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Deliver breakthrough thinking in strategic planning sessions and in client/all agency summitsCultivate expert knowledge and contacts within the shopper marketing and consumer promotion fieldsLead team, Account Directors/Account Managers in the development of an annual business plan in conjunction with stated or potential client needsIdentify and communicate changing client business rules and priorities to internal financial management functionOptimize the impact of customer insight in the creative/program development process by inspiring and partnering with Creative staff on your teamPerform personnel reviews, coach and mentor direct reports to ensure succession planning, as requiredCultivate productive senior-level client relationshipsDemonstrate strong conceptual thinking skillsCombine analytical rigor with creative problem-solving skillsTranslate client's business objectives into marketing and communications objectives for the agencyNegotiate contracts and fee arrangements as neededForge relationships with outside partners/suppliers as neededAll other duties as assigned by managerMeet in person with local-based client team, as neededLimited travel requiredSKILL SETS REQUIRED:Bachelor's degree in advertising, marketing, or related field.
