Job Description

If the answer is yes, then this is your opportunity to join a dynamic, experienced and motivated Commercial team as our newest Account Manager in IFF's Nourish division. This role will offer you the opportunity to make immediate contributions to our sales growth initiatives and develop a unique skillset by serving as a trusted advisor to our customers. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing a territory comprised of national, regional, and local food and beverage accounts. In addition to fostering established relationships and managing existing sales, you will identify new opportunities, grow sales, and expand your network. You will work in close cooperation with cross-functional team members, including Operations, Innovation Creation and Design, and Marketing departments within IFF. To excel in this role, you should enjoy an entrepreneurial approach to your work and thrive on developing new opportunities.

  • Achieve profitable sales growth targets via maintaining and growing business
  • Develop account strategies and engage relevant internal stakeholders to execute
  • Lead a cross-functional core team which includes Commercial Support, Technical & Marketing support individuals assigned to each account
  • Implement strategic initiatives to improve profitability, including optimizing order patterns for customers and IFF
  • Provide and maintain accurate sales forecasts, cultivate and strengthen customer relationships
  • Manage pricing negotiations, pricing portfolio and achieve gross profit targets
  • Accountable for all communications with the customer, as well as being the liaison for all various functions between customer and IFF
  • Coordinate with internal functions to provide timely information to all matters relating to the service of accounts
  • Gain opportunities and projects and provide accurate and detailed entry into the IFF project system ensuring that all required information is "first time right". This includes opportunities entered by Support staff.
  • Manage project timelines and progress by coordinating with internal stakeholders, including Technical team members
  • Maintain timely and accurate information for ongoing projects in the project management system.
