The UM Clinical Support Specialist plays a vital role in assisting the Director and Supervisor of UM by collecting, analyzing, and reporting data. This role involves maintaining data logs related to utilization and productivity, developing and monitoring various reports, and providing support to the clinical team by handling inbound and outbound calls that do not require clinical intervention.

Office located at 7600 North 16th Street, Suite 140 Phoenix, AZ 8502 (Remote)Essential Functions:
Works independently with minimal supervisionSupport the UM Director and Supervisor in data collection and analysisCreate and manage comprehensive reports on utilization and productivityWorking with the Supervisor, reviews the human resource credentialling report to ensures clinicians are current for all licenses in applicable statesMonitors Relias for completion of mandatory training to ensure timely completionRecords QIO appeal requests and provides other assistance in this area as neededAssists the clinical team by managing non-clinical calls and inquiresExhibits a pleasant and welcoming demeanor both in person and on the phoneOther duties as requiredQualifications:Proven experience in a healthcare support role, particularly in data collection and reporting. Prior experience supporting clinical teams and handling administrative tasks related to healthcare services.
Knowledge and Experience:
Proficiency in relevant software applications (e.g. Excel, Power BI, database management systems)Understanding of healthcare utilization management processes and terminologyAwareness of privacy regulations and data security practices in healthcareExcellent organizational skills with attention to detailCritical thinking and trouble shooting skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environmentWell-developed interpersonal and communication skillsProfessional appearance and mannerAbility to work in a team environment2 years experience min required.Education Requirements:
Associate degree in healthcare administration, business administration or a related field required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
