Are you ready to take on a challenging role in utility project management? As a Utility Project Manager, you will oversee complex utility coordination, design, and relocation efforts. This position involves significant responsibility for managing budgets associated with utility design and relocation for various transportation improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead utility projects, including managing on-call consultants, preparing scopes of work, and negotiating contracts for approval.
- Provide direction and support in project management processes, ensuring effective collaboration with design engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Work closely with utility companies and agency partners to ensure that utility designs align with roadway plans and comply with relevant regulations.
- Proactively resolve complex utility conflicts, balancing safety, schedule, design, and budget considerations during both design and construction phases.
- Maintain clear communication with all stakeholders, representing the organization at utility and agency meetings.
Work Environment
This role involves both office and fieldwork, with potential exposure to various environmental conditions. The selected candidate should be prepared for a dynamic work setting that may include noise, odors, and varying weather conditions.
Qualifications
- A minimum of four years of experience in construction communications, utility coordination, or related fields.
- An associate's degree in construction management, engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- A valid driver's license is required upon hire.
