ROLE OVERVIEW

Pivot Energy is seeking a motivated Manager, Project Development - Finance to join the Project Development - Execution team to provide primary support leading up to and throughout construction debt and tax equity transactions by drafting real estate and funding-related documents and managing funding deadlines. This individual will create the documents necessary to finalize real estate and funding requirements to complete the development of these projects. In collaboration with the VP of Project Development - Execution, Structured Finance, and Legal departments, this role will prepare signature-ready documents for lease agreements, amendments, assignments, notices, title curative measures and survey updates, affidavits, and other documents as necessary to support project fundings.

Previous experience with a renewable energy developer, financial institution/lender, or legal service provider is beneficial, but not required. The individual must possess a professional manner, be detail-oriented, have the ability to manage and prioritize a large and variable workload, and be comfortable communicating with multiple internal Pivot teams as well as landowners, developers, surveyors, and title companies.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate in development market calls to track and coordinate projects allocated to upcoming finance tranches
  • Create and maintain live reports of upcoming deliverables to align with Pivot's Structured Finance Team's deliverables and closings
  • Draft SNDAs, easements, amendments, assignments, and other real property-related documents. Review with Pivot Legal prior to releasing documents to developers for final signatures.
  • Coordinate and prepare documents for recording with appropriate clerk and recorder offices as well as financial closings
  • Prepare and deliver Notices as required by contracts
  • Support real estate due diligence and title work for Pivot's project financing activities.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES

  • At least one of the following: Bachelor's degree, prior law firm experience drafting legal documents at high volume or paralegal experience within complex transactions
  • Ability to multi-task and balance multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with a natural focus on organization and process
  • Strong time management and planning skills
  • Comfort working to meet deadlines, learn quickly, and work as part of a team
  • Friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor
  • Ability to exercise good judgment, discretion, and confidentiality
  • Ability to cross-collaborate with multiple departments

PREFERRED COMPETENCIES

  • Experience in the solar and/or finance industry
  • Experience with Salesforce and/or Smartsheets.
  • Experience with real estate and/or title insurance policies and reviewing ALTA surveys title commitments and applicable endorsements
