Exciting Opportunity at Shearer's Snacks

Shearer's is a prominent player in the snack industry, known for providing top-quality snacks in various flavors and sizes. They are currently seeking a Plant Finance Analyst to join their team at the Bristol Plant in Virginia.

Job Description:
  • Analyze manufacturing costs including raw materials, labor, and overhead.
  • Provide cost direction to different departments such as plant management, quality, purchasing, planning, and inventory control.
  • Support capital process by monitoring spending, reviewing results, and analyzing data.
  • Assist in cost-saving studies for continuous improvement.
  • Complete financial accounting closing processes and produce reports for management.
  • Conduct audits and assist with cycle counts.
  • Review and analyze cost data on a regular basis.
  • Work independently and communicate results effectively.
  • Support the Finance Manager and perform tasks in their absence.
  • Occasional travel to other plants may be required.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in Finance, manufacturing plant experience preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of management.
  • Organized, self-starter with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Flexibility to handle special projects and resolve issues proactively.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
