Intermediate District 287 is a west metro district for learners with unique needs. As an intermediate district, we provide specialized services, primarily setting IV special education, to students from 12 member districts in the west metro - Brooklyn Center, Eden Prairie, Edina, Hopkins, Minnetonka, Orono, Osseo, Richfield, Robbinsdale, St. Louis Park, Wayzata, and Westonka.

Position Requirements:
Master's Degree in Education Leadership, Curriculum and Instruction or related field preferred
Three (3) years of professional-level experience working with students in special education.
Experience in culturally responsive teaching/coaching
Racial Equity education and training
Experience implementing evidence-based special education, instructional and/or literacy practices in the classroom.

Licensure Requirements
Current MN teaching license in Special Education, or Core Academic Area (e.g. mathematics, science) or Reading
If no special education license, then a demonstrated willingness to obtain one within two years of appointment. Ongoing employment is contingent on obtaining the license within two years.
