Job Summary and Qualifications

The Endoscopy Technician PRN assists in preparing the operative suite for surgery, checking supplies, equipment, and instrumentation. You will also assist in preparing the operative room between cases, assuring the availability of adequate supplies and instruments for posted cases and assists in opening room in a sterile environment.

  • Ensure patient comfort and safety measures are maintained.
  • Anticipate special needs, equipment and supplies for the patient relative to an accurate physical assessment of the patient by a nurse.
  • You will utilize surgeon preference cards to check with each case and updates as needed.
  • Assist the surgeon during a surgical procedure with a high degree of efficiency, anticipating physician and patient needs during the case.
  • You will assist in daily maintenance of the department, completing monthly work assignment sheet, restocking, pull cases for the next day, and maintaining equipment in good working order.
What qualifications you will need:
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Surgical Technology Program graduate (required)
  • 2-3 years of Endo Tech/OR Tech experience (required)
