Job Responsibilities and Qualifications
  • Capture high-quality radiographs of patients within the department and using portable equipment in a timely manner.
  • Adhere to radiation safety protocols for both patients and yourself, utilizing Personal Protective Equipment. Operate radiographic equipment safely and effectively.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in necessary computer operations (e.g., Meditech and PACS). Ensure accurate charge entry and verify referring physician's orders.
  • Provide patient care in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Prepare examination rooms for radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, monitor supply inventory during room rotation, and maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and dressing rooms.
  • Assist the radiologist in administering medications, contrast agents, and various types of patient care.
  • Review each exam for technical accuracy (e.g., markers on images, technical quality, anatomical positioning, annotation) and complete the verification process in PACS.
  • Support the Diagnostic Supervisor with PACS maintenance, including cleaning CR plates, erasing cassettes, and closing and sending exams from workstations.
  • Fulfill and maintain personal educational requirements.
  • Uphold strict confidentiality regarding employee and patient information in accordance with policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • State Registered Radiologic Technician.
  • Registered Radiographer (ARRT).
  • Graduate of a Vocational School.
