The Associate Social Media Marketing Analyst's goal is to assist with the development, implementation and analysis of organic and paid social media content for Belk owned channels. This position will be responsible for executing and creating content for the Belk Social Media channels, primarily Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of elevating and growing social channels.

This person will report to the Digital Marketing Manager, Social Media and collaborate with Influencer, Creative, Co-Op and Merchandising teams as well as outside partners and vendors. This person must have incredible communication and organizational skills, and be able to adapt to and identify ever-changing circumstances and pivot accordingly.

Job Functions

  • Create social media content calendars based on company priorities and social media trends
    • Fill out paid and organic trackers with creative assets, copy, and links for upcoming posts/ads
    • Schedule and publish organic social posts on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok
    • Partner with media agency on creative content for paid ads
  • Identify social first opportunities by creating content or working with the influencer team to identify content creators to fulfill concepts.
  • Manage weekly brief process and partner with creative team to execute content for each social channel
    • Collaborate, create and manage any and all creative, copy and/or offer changes where applicable.
    • Attend weekly planning meetings, capture creative feedback and/or strategy shifts.
  • Upload CRM lists into social channel UIs for Paid Ads on a weekly basis
  • Serve as a community manager through social platforms by engaging with audiences and tagged content
  • Analyze content on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis utilizing platform metrics and agency provided insights. Be prepared to present findings to leadership on a monthly basis.
  • Keep up to date with current social media trends and provide competitive report to internal teams on a weekly basis
  • Utilize social listening tools to better understand customer sentiments and how information can be used to improve strategies

Position Contribution Level :

Intermediate Level

Minimum Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or related field
  • 3-5 years of relevant digital marketing or social media channel management experience
  • Specific work or project experience: Marketing in-house or agency, preferably Digital Marketing and/social marketing related experience is a plus
  • Industry experience: Marketing

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • 2-4 years of applicable experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft programs (PowerPoint, Word).

Some graphic design and copywriting experience preferred

Physical

Remote Work Frequency: Monthly onsite in office
