Blaze is seeking an experienced Floating Assistant Branch Manager to join our growing financial institution. This key position will be responsible for responsible for assisting with the administration and daily operations of multiple branches at Blaze. These functions include member service in accordance with the credit union's objectives, product sales, lending, and branch compliance. This position is also responsible for assisting with the professional development and supervision of assigned staff in multiple branch locations. The key objective is to retain, motivate, and provide coaching to staff with the intent to develop sales techniques and assist in the achievement of retail sales goals. This position is a leader, participates in community affairs, and works to enhance the credit union's visibility. This position will float to all Twin Cities branches as needed with a homebase that can be established upon hire.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with coaching and developing branch staff.
  • Act as an example to staff by upholding Blaze's values, mission, and goals.
  • Communicate daily with Manager to ensure development, performance, and recognition of staff
  • Back up new account and loan application process as needed
  • Research member problems and questions, making any necessary corrections.
  • Help with monthly branch audits
  • Ensure associates at assigned branches follow dual control and other security policies and procedures
  • Assist with scheduling staff and ensure policies/procedures are followed
  • Pursue networking opportunities in the community
  • Be an Ambassador for Blaze thru modeling the 5 A's with associates as well as mentor Branch staff to achieve.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3+ years of similar or related experience and a minimum high school degree
  • Experience supervising a team
  • Knowledge of financial industry & related products
  • Demonstrated ability of selling, including the ability to identify member's needs to explain features and benefits of Blaze
  • Demonstrated ability to close sales opportunities and meet goals
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, DNA software package a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple and conflicting priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability calmly diffuse and manage challenging situations
  • Must be able to drive to multiple locations
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills both written and verbal
