Position Summary:
The Branch Operations Leader is accountable for overseeing the daily functions of the branch, acting as a versatile manager across various administrative and operational areas. This role involves planning, organizing, and controlling branch activities through effective communication, support, guidance, and training of staff.
Key Responsibilities:
This role is classified as safety-sensitive. All duties must be executed in accordance with the company's safety protocols and procedures.
Ensure the upkeep of both the interior and exterior of the facility, verifying that all equipment is functional and that compliance with local, state, and federal regulations is maintained.
Accurately track all D.O.T records, B.I.T. inspections, and pull notices, ensuring adherence to applicable laws.
Establish inventory management practices to monitor stock levels and turnover, with a focus on the rotation and distribution of older or slower-moving inventory.
Conduct regular inspections of the yard to identify outdated or damaged products, developing sales strategies for rapid turnover.
Serve as a liaison between corporate headquarters and branch personnel to ensure effective implementation and adherence to corporate directives.
Manage all administrative reporting requests from corporate in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy in reporting.
Foster strong relationships with vendor sales representatives by organizing product training sessions, updating showroom displays, and collaboratively implementing sales incentives to enhance sales performance.
Recruit talented individuals for various roles within the company, including inside and outside sales, administrative support, warehouse, delivery, and other skilled positions.
Provide thorough training in sales techniques, OSHA safety protocols, and other areas as determined by corporate or market needs.
Direct and oversee the activities of outside sales personnel by establishing sales targets and implementing appropriate measures to achieve them.
Conduct periodic sales visits to ensure that outside sales representatives are meeting performance expectations and delivering the level of service anticipated from RWC employees.
Maintain corporate pricing standards by minimizing price variations and implementing strategies to uphold profit margins and revenue.
Establish accountability measures for cash handling and company checks, ensuring that theft prevention protocols are effectively implemented.
Review daily DCRs and discuss any discrepancies or initiatives with the relevant Executive Management team member.
Regularly assess open order status reports on a bi-weekly basis.
Expand and maintain the customer base in the designated market through effective sales techniques that promote relationship building.
Stay informed about market conditions, including competitive analysis and customer trends, to identify suitable pricing, product offerings, and growth strategies.
Address customer inquiries, issues, or complaints promptly and professionally to foster customer loyalty through open communication and constructive feedback.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills, and Working Conditions:
Ability to execute all job functions safely and efficiently, in line with safety policies and procedures.
Must be capable of wearing all necessary personal protective equipment when required.
Ability to work at a computer for extended periods, primarily in a seated position.
Effective communication skills, a customer-focused approach, collaborative problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to high ethical standards.
Physical capabilities to bend, stoop, kneel, twist, crouch, crawl, and reach.
Ability to lift up to 10 pounds frequently, up to 25 pounds occasionally, and up to 50 pounds on occasion.
Exposure to various materials, fumes, odors, loud noises, chemicals, and dust may occur during the workday.
