This position shall be performed under the day-to-day direction, control, and supervision of WTCC

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES/TASKS

  • Schedule work activities in a manner that ensures project resources are efficiently allocated to support applicable phases of operations.
  • Develop electrical work packages and work instructions to support maintenance work activities including pre- planning, material staging, requisitioning/expediting, labor estimating, and all other field support as required.
  • Monitors assignments to ensure that they are within the agreed scope, schedule and budget and that the work is being performed within outlined policies and expectations.
  • Coordinates timely development and release of work packages, task requests, and work orders to support the operations/maintenance / Startup Testing schedule.
  • Reviews and analyzes delays in schedule, expedites any work activities requiring work packages that delay schedules, and coordinates schedule changes needed to encompass unforeseen conditions.
  • Ensures work orders are in compliance with project directive documents, assists in the determination of work priority, and establishes workflow processes that support work management and operations goals.
  • Periodically reviews work performed for attainment or obtainment of objectives, policy compliance and priorities, effective coordination, technical adequacy and responsiveness to established guidelines.
  • Integrates efficient maintenance and operations that are in compliance with company policies, client requirements, and governmental regulations.
  • Ensures all safety and environmental guidelines are followed without deviation.
  • Must achieve qualification within 6 months of assignment.
  • Will be required to complete other assignments in order to support Construction, Start-up, and Plant Operations departments as necessary to meet evolving WTP Project needs.
  • Support the Waste Treatment Plant Nuclear Safety Quality Culture by emphasizing the values of safety and quality in the performance of work in order to protect self, others, and the environment

REQUIREMENTS/SPECIFICATIONS

Education/Experience:

HS Diploma or GED and 10 years of related mechanical equipment maintenance, or electrical equipment maintenance, or instrumentation and controls equipment, or fire systems and their operating activities, and remotely operated equipment, troubleshooting, corrective or preventive maintenance, materials, production processes and engineering. Excellent technical writing/editing skills and verbal communication skills are required.

  • 6 months or more directing the work of others

OR

Associates Degree in Business Administration or related technical field and 6 years mechanical equipment maintenance, or electrical equipment maintenance, or instrumentation and controls equipment, or fire systems and their operating activities, and remotely operated equipment, troubleshooting, corrective or preventive maintenance, materials, production processes and engineering. Excellent technical writing/editing skills and verbal communication skills are required.

  • 6 months or more directing the work of others

OR

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related technical field and 4 years related mechanical equipment maintenance, or electrical equipment maintenance, or instrumentation and controls equipment, or fire systems and their operating activities, and remotely operated equipment, troubleshooting, corrective or preventive maintenance, materials, production processes and engineering. Excellent technical writing/editing skills and verbal communication skills are required.

  • 6 months or more directing the work of others

Preferred experience:

  • Planning experience in the DOE / ISMS / VPP environment
  • Must achieve qualification within 6 months of assignment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

(EFNM) Exposed Field Non-Manual Performs desk work, including writing, computer workstation processes, and telephone operation. Arranges for and/or performs presentations, oral reports, planning meetings, and other formal and informal contacts, requiring long periods of sitting. Oversees field activities through inspections, testing and equipment operations, which requires walking, standing, bending, and turning along with wearing of personal protective equipment. Occasional loading, transport, and unloading of tools and/or supplies specific to an activity

This position is located at the Construction Site (22 miles north of Richland) and selected candidate must be willing and able to work a rotating shift schedule, 4 days on / 4 days off, Day shift only.

Must be able to work in the United States without Sponsorship

Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy (DOE) badge for access to the Hanford site.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $99, $154, Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
