As an Electrical Mechanical Master at ASC, you may be assigned to any of the following functions according to staffing and production demands:

Electrical Repair/Replacement/Improvement: Diagnose electrical problems on production equipment. Perform preventative maintenance on same. Replace components, wiring and consoles as required on production equipment. Implement improvement projects. Develops and installs programs in PLC's. Uses electronic testing equipment. Operates material handling equipment. Maintains appropriate records by manual or automated systems.

Mechanical Repair/Replacement/Improvement: Perform general maintenance work and troubleshooting to maintain structures, machines, utilities systems, etc. Fabricates miscellaneous components as required. Prepares foundations; secures, levels, and aligns machines properly. Disassembles and reassembles machines undergoing repairs and overhauls. Does structural and sheet metal work, occasional rough carpentry, pipe fitting, welding, plumbing, lubrication. Works from drawings, layouts, sketches or verbal instructions. Operates heavy equipment such as front-end loaders, carry deck cranes, etc. Maintains appropriate records by manual or automated systems. Uses precision measuring equipment as required. Performs preventative maintenance inspection and repair on all plant equipment.

Forklift Operator: Upon obtaining certification, operates forklift to position and move materials, equipment, etc.

Essential Job Duties:
  • Must be able to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed instructions. Must be able to recognize machinery malfunctions and repair same
  • Must be able to solve somewhat complex mathematical problems
  • Install and repair all types of electronic equipment including PLC programmers.
  • Maintain and install electrical services throughout the facility including lighting, HVAC, etc.
  • Install new equipment, mount fixtures, run conduit, pull wire, connect wiring, etc.
  • Troubleshoot electrical & mechanical breakdowns
  • Perform preventative maintenance duties on plant equipment.
  • Complete required documentation.

  • Starting pay rate $40.70 with a $2.00 shift differential

All job offers are contingent upon post-hire requirements: successful background check, drug screen/physical, and completion of required paperwork.

Required Skills:
  • Understand and able to work on up to 480V 3 phase (Higher voltage experience a plus)
  • Industrial and/or manufacturing PLC experience
  • Motor programmable drives experience
  • Running conduit/machine moves/new installation experience
  • Experience in melting and molding environment would be a plus
  • High school degree or equivalent required. Technical School Associate preferred
  • Electrical schooling and/or apprenticeship required.
  • Must be able to meet the physical demands and skills analysis of the job.
