At Boston Scientific, our products and technologies are used to diagnose or treat a wide range of medical conditions. We continue to innovate in key areas and are extending our innovations into new geographies and high-growth adjacency markets. In the Endoscopy division, we provide advance technologies for diagnosing and treating diseases of the digestive system, airway and lungs. Medical Conditions we provide solutions for include: Malignant & Benign Tumors, Gastrointestinal Diseases, Pulmonary Diseases, Gastrointestinal Cancers and Abscesses. We are able to provide a number of solutions to patients that include: Balloon Dilation, Stenting, ERCP/Cholangioscopy, Biliary, Biopsy and Polypectomy, Hemostasis, Radio Frequency Ablation and Enteral Feeding. We have a robust product line and pipeline, and we will continue to make an investment in Endoscopy treatments.
Purpose Statement
The Global Product Manager II for Marketing will be involved in all aspects of building and refining the franchise strategy while developing and launching products for our Endoscopic Ultrasound FNA and FNB businesses. Specific activities will include:
- Identifying unmet voice-of-the-customer needs and translating these into marketing specifications for the R&D team
- Providing voice-of-the-customer marketing specifications to the R&D team
- Guiding the writing of customer requirements documents, creating product labeling, defining user-validation activities, redeveloping regulatory claims, surgical technique generation and generating product forecasts
- Championing product commercialization activities across multiple internal and external groups such as engineering, packaging and labeling, regulatory, clinical, quality, sales, etc.
- Developing and executing a comprehensive launch plan and strategy for new products including: developing product positioning, defining marketing messages and collateral, developing sales and physician education programs and training both domestic and international marketing and sales teams
- Determining and leading market research to identify market needs and the corresponding product solution opportunities
- Acquiring and analyzing feedback from key opinion leaders, current and potential customers, third party market research and internal stakeholders
- Possessing an in-depth knowledge of the healthcare industry in general and more specifically, the segments targeted by assigned products, including the motivators for action
- Creating and implementing market development strategies to target key customers
- Execute Business Development acitivies, which include performing Target Company technology assessment, clinical utility, market potential, and go-to-market plan if the technology is acquired.
This person will develop and execute global franchise strategies, project prioritization, budget management, and value messaging with coaching, direction and training from their manager. This person will also develop clinical expertise and use that knowledge to educate the organization and also leverage that knowledge to build relationships with existing and new customers.
This role will place a heavy emphasis on:
- Management of an existing, large global business (downstream and sustaining)
- Market Development of new technology and new clinical areas of care both domestically and internationally
- Relationship Building with KOLs and key internal and external stakeholders
- Clinical Acumen/Strategy

Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree required, MBA preferred
- 2-5 years of successful related business experience
- Prior experience in product management preferred
- Experience with products that are medically/clinically oriented
- Demonstrated record of success working in a team environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Domestic and global travel up to 40%
- Sales experience a plus
- Previous international experience a plus
