Job Description

Primary Function of Position

This role is responsible for the strategy and staff that delivers applications and services that support the collaboration & digital employee experience for Intuitive's global workforce. This role is accountable for functions, including operations, governance, enablement, and engineering. This role partners with Digital Workplace leaders and stakeholders across HR, Legal, Workplace Experience and other line of business on continuous improvement of the employee experience technologies to empower and engage employees to adopt new technology, increase digital dexterity and improve business outcomes.

Essential Job Duties

  • Managing the technology stack that supports employee experience, collaborative work, and content management capabilities such as Microsoft O365 (Communication tools, OneDrive, SharePoint, Microsoft Copilot, Microsoft Loop), Box, Smartsheet, Intranet, Communities Platform and partner with ServiceNow (IT, HR, Workplace Services, etc.), Unified Employee Experience Portal, and Enterprise Search capabilities.
  • Envisioning and executing on the technology roadmap to support evolving business needs by overseeing capabilities such as service management, employee communication, collaborative work, and content management.
  • Creating a culture of enablement to drive adoption and improve workforce digital dexterity.
  • Developing strategy that reduces digital friction and improves the digital employee experience.
  • Building partnerships among key stakeholders and business leaders to ensure that digital employee experience initiatives support business outcomes and are measured by agreed-upon success criteria and value realization.
  • Partnering with the Employee Success team to establish a community of stakeholders across the company and leveraging "voice of the employees" principles to drive ongoing business requirements to ensure the technology ecosystem continues to meet evolving needs.
  • Taking a data-driven approach to understand and optimize the complex relationship between technology investments, employee experience, and business outcomes.
  • Partnering with human resources, facilities, and other IT and business leaders to set the strategic direction of digital employee experience technology improvements.
  • Creating a culture of data-driven analysis of the Digital Employee Experience and overseeing the sharing and synthesis of that data with stewards of employee experience and work outcome data.
  • Establishing a technology strategy aligned with the overall Digital Workplace strategy & Global Enterprise Technologies strategy.
  • Overseeing the talent-management strategy, including hiring, coaching, and developing, for current and future employees.
  • Managing the annual operating and capital expenditure to ensure it is consistent with overall Global Enterprise Technologies & company objectives.
  • Leading the development, publication, and maintenance of the technology architecture and framework, and the roadmap for its future development aligned with business requirements.
  • Ensuring services are compliant with company policies and relevant regulations and laws, including but not limited to privacy, security, ethics, and accessibility.
  • Exploring and improving how employees digitally engage with each other, customers, and business partners.
  • Utilizing organizational change management best practices to drive technology adoption.
  • Reviewing emerging technologies and platforms, and guiding how they should be assimilated, integrated, and introduced to respond to business demands.
  • Partnering with HR to understand employees' current challenges and experiences, new roles and responsibilities, demographic changes in the workforce, globalization initiatives, changes in organizational structure, and hiring and skills requirements. Incorporating this knowledge into digital employee experience technology planning.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders in internal communications to understand employee communication & engagement needs.
  • Working with IT security, data privacy, and risk management to ensure that digital employee experience technologies comply with corporate policies and industry standards.
  • Defining success criteria for digital employee experience technologies strategy by aligning with measurable short-term and long-term business objectives.
  • Soliciting business sponsorship for projects and initiatives to ensure efforts are aligned with business needs.
  • Regularly contributing to digital workplace maturity measurement through analysis and tracking of ambition, accomplishments, and business impact.
