Industry Manager | North American Performance Building Solutions Steep Slope Roofing


The NA Steep Slope Roofing Industry Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating the business activity within the assigned market segment.

Will serve as the owner of segment customers and downstream end users on matters such as pricing, rebate programs, service, and support.

In addition, the Industry Manager is responsible for segment marketing strategy covering price, product, promotion, and place elements in collaboration with the commercial and/or residential marketing leader.

This Manager will focus on increasing sales and market share of DuPontTM Roof ProtectorTM, the complete line of Tyvek ProtecTM roofing underlayment's, and accessories in North America.

To accomplish this, driving adoption with large roofers and developing, servicing, and managing our local dealers will be key.

There will also be a focus on managing a network of independent sales agents and working directly with local dealers in the remainder of the territory.


Key responsibilities:
Develop a strategic growth plan for the segment by working in conjunction with marketing, communication, manufacturing, and supply chain
Grow sales and volume by executing the approved marketing plan in the segment
Directly manage the customers and/or agents in their assigned market segments
Conduct regular team meetings for the internal and external groups that support the market segment to ensure alignment and review results
Develop an annual marketing plan for assigned segment that compliments the overall commercial and/or residential marketing plan
Act as DuPont ambassador by taking an active role at industry functions and as a part of industry trade organizations
Work with R&D and product management team to develop and deliver new products
Delegate managing and growing sales of DuPont's underlayment portfolio to a network of Sales Agents & Roofing Distributors
Indirect responsibility for growing sales in territories managed by independent sales agents
Close collaboration with the Western Roofing Account Manager
Develop, communicate, and execute against tactical accounts plans that support the national business objectives for the category

Additional responsibilities
Lead adoption and proper usage of Salesforce platform across the segment
Regularly partner with pricing manager to set segment pricing rules and pricing for key customers/projects
Provide insight to Pricing Manager and assist with overall pricing strategy for NA
Represent the market segment performance/needs at internal meetings
Ensure bi-lateral information flow with supply chain team on demand forecasting, customer issues, and stocking strategy
Develop and execute industry messaging campaign including trade shows, literature, and social media in line with business marketing plans and budget
Execute Dealer & Installer training product knowledge sessions
Problem resolution and troubleshooting
Identify, negotiate, train, and manage the distributor for all new product introduction and commercialization.

Provide regular and consistent feedback on technical needs, new building envelope technologies, competitive solutions/systems, and strategic opportunities/partnerships for business growth.


Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required with 8+ years of direct relevant sales experience
Three years successful sales experience required
English speaking
Construction industry knowledge
High level of business strategy and market understanding
Ability to be a strong customer advocate
Excellent negotiation skills
Highly motivated and results-driven individual with excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
High safety awareness and demonstrated personal safety engagement are required
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time required
This is a remote role - but will need access to an airport
