Position: Maintenance Electrician

Overview: We are currently seeking skilled Maintenance Electricians to join our team. This role involves working in a controlled environment with access to essential amenities. The position offers a structured schedule with opportunities for overtime. Employees will be eligible for benefits and paid time off after a designated period of employment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Construct, modify, and repair electrical systems and components in compliance with specifications and local codes.
  • Interpret technical documents, including blueprints and job orders.
  • Utilize hand and power tools to install electrical conduits and fixtures.
  • Perform wiring tasks, including splicing and connecting wires.
  • Install and secure control and distribution equipment, ensuring proper functionality.
  • Connect power sources to equipment and establish grounding systems.
  • Conduct tests to verify circuit continuity and safety of electrical components.
  • Identify and respond to hazardous conditions promptly.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and perform regular inspections of work areas and tools.
  • Work independently while promoting a collaborative team environment.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as an electrician or equivalent training.
  • Possession of an OSHA 10 certification is required.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Completion of all safety and job-specific training as mandated.
  • Familiarity with NFPA70e standards is preferred; training will be provided if necessary.
  • Commitment to observing safety protocols and quality standards at all times.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Capacity to perform technical duties and essential functions effectively.
  • Ability to navigate confined spaces and uneven terrain.
  • Full range of motion and physical capability consistent with job requirements.
  • Ability to climb ladders and maintain balance.
  • Good hearing and visual acuity for responding to workplace signals and alarms.
  • Safety footwear is mandatory.
