KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Oversee various project tasks on a single project, providing support to Foremen, field engineers, and estimators to ensure adherence to contract specifications.
  2. Plan work methodologies, resource allocation, and project timelines for assigned tasks. Regularly review and adjust schedules based on project feedback.
  3. Collaborate with engineering teams and field personnel to ensure that all necessary materials and equipment are available for uninterrupted production.
  4. Continuously review shop drawings, design specifications, and material requirements throughout the project lifecycle to maintain quality standards.
  5. Monitor daily production rates, project timelines, and budget forecasts to accurately assess project performance. Document activities using company-approved methods.
  6. Update project schedules weekly for management and client reporting, and participate in regular project meetings to discuss production status.
  7. Review project specifications to manage job setup processes and work with crews and local utilities to identify potential hazards.
  8. Anticipate scheduling challenges and provide technical or scheduling solutions to enhance production efficiency.
  9. Offer technical insights to mitigate project risks related to construction methods, safety protocols, and scheduling activities. Maintain thorough documentation of daily activities and meetings.
  10. Facilitate initial project meetings to align all project teams and leaders on production plans.
  11. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that project resources are sufficient to meet budgetary and scheduling requirements.
  12. Promote a culture of safety and compliance with operational protocols regarding equipment use and worksite safety.
  13. Supervise subcontractor activities and recommend adjustments to their work schedules or methods as necessary.
  14. Manage project closeout processes in accordance with company standards and client requirements.
  15. Stay informed about company values and strategic objectives.
  16. Assist the estimating team with project scheduling, budgeting, and cost analysis as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5-10 years of experience in heavy civil construction is essential.
  • 1-3 years of experience in coatings, either as a supervisor or inspector, is preferred.
  • A Bachelor's Degree is advantageous.
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex construction projects with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Experience managing challenging schedules and project demands while ensuring compliance with safety programs.
  • Knowledge of pour repairs, steel repairs, joint repairs, and bridge maintenance is a plus.
  • Familiarity with shotcrete, blasting, and painting equipment is beneficial.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills are required.
  • Strong leadership qualities with a commitment to mentoring and developing team members.
  • Advanced understanding of construction equipment operation and maintenance is a plus.
  • Thorough knowledge of construction site safety protocols and the ability to enforce safety programs.
  • Ability to interpret standards and contract-specific plans and specifications.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify problems, gather data, and draw valid conclusions.
