Position: SIC Maintenance Specialist/FT

Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Specialist for an ongoing assignment in a controlled environment. This role offers access to various amenities and a structured work setting. Candidates will be eligible for benefits and paid time off after a designated period.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Relocate office furnishings as necessary.
  • Assemble shelving units and workstations.
  • Replace lighting components, including ballasts and lamps.
  • Conduct painting, touch-ups, and facility cleaning as instructed.
  • Perform grounds upkeep as needed.
  • Manage coolant levels and lubricate machinery as required.
  • Assist fellow maintenance staff as directed.
  • Utilize hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Maintain knowledge of safety protocols related to maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Document and manage records using computer systems, including work orders and maintenance logs.
  • Work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Identify and resolve maintenance-related issues.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Conduct safety inspections of work areas and equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Complete all required safety and job training.
  • Adhere to safety processes and procedures consistently.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of two years of experience in general maintenance and repair.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements:

  • Work conditions may include exposure to various environments such as offices, warehouses, and outdoor areas.
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Capable of navigating confined spaces and uneven terrain.
  • Must be able to hear and respond to verbal commands and alarms.
  • Effective use of personal protective equipment is essential.
  • Physical stamina is required for prolonged standing, bending, and working in various positions.
  • Steel-toed footwear is mandatory.
